I describe myself as a BIPOC trauma therapist. I have a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology and enjoy working with adolescents, adults, and couples of all ages, genders, and sexual orientations. I am passionate about diversity and inclusion and enjoy working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds including, but not limited to racialized individuals and 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals. I primarily work with the following psychological concerns:

  • PTSD (including work with First Responders)

  • ADHD

  • Trauma, Sexual Abuse Traumas

  • Developmental/Childhood Traumas

  • Anxiety/Depression

  • Chronic Illness/Pain

  • Self-esteem/Confidence

  • Grief and Loss

  • Racialized Traumas

I aim to be a self-reflective, trauma-informed, and integrative therapist. To meet clients and their unique needs, I have gained experience and knowledge in a number of therapeutic modalities. I am an EMDR certified therapist and have experience with Narrative therapy, Attachment Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Mindfulness, Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, and Gottman Level 1 couple’s therapy training.

My personal approach to working with clients is in a warm, flexible, compassionate, and relational manner. I enjoy bringing my authentic and genuine self into my therapy practice. I take a non-expert stance in my work with clients but instead work to empower and support my clients through their unique healing journey. I endeavour to provide a highly ethical and non-judgmental space for clients.

As a therapist, I am frequently humbled and awed by the incredible resilience my clients have and display. I am continually grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside my clients while they journey towards healing and growth.

If it sounds like we may be a good fit, feel free to contact us for an appointment or book online on our Jane page if that is more convenient. I would be honoured in meeting with you.

Hi there! My name is Rashmani, and I am the founder/ director of Midnight Sun Wellness, a director/board member of the Psychologists Association of Alberta, and a huge animal lover. I am grateful to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you. As a person who has worn both the therapist and client hat, I understand the courage it takes clients to approach mental health practitioners. I want to recognize that courage and thank-you for reaching out and taking the time to read this.

Many of us have experienced struggles in our lives, including myself. Whether it is trauma, chronic pain/illness, racial discrimination, grief and loss, or depression/anxiety, these experiences often leave us feeling mentally, physically, and emotionally drained. During these times it can be hard to reach out for help. We may feel alone and isolated, lost, or tired of our circumstances.
